Become a Volunteer!

We have many different positions available and would love to see you. Every job includes making time for animal loves.

Animal Caretaker

Help take care of our over 100 residents and 10 different species of rescued or retired farmed animals. Daily chores include; stall mucking, poo patrol, water filling, hay filling, brushing, massaging animals and anything else on our daily chore list.
We have 3 hours shifts available in the fall and winter season 2025-2026 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Flexible shift hours.

Tour Welcome Ambassador

May - August position. We need happy and friendly faces to greet our summer visitors. Welcome them in, show them where to park, have them sign our visitor waiver, then show them the way to the animals. Please let us know if you have time available during May thru August, 10am - 2pm Wednesday to Sundays.

Cleaning Projects

We have a lot of things that need deep and regular cleaning in the main barn and around the animal pastures. Please let us know if you love wiping and scrubbing! We would love your help.

Food Preparation

Lots of chopping and blender work to get our freezer stocked with ready to use produce for animal feeding and snacks. Come and chop in our barn or at the outside picnic table near the animals or chop at home and deliver your pig smoothie mix to our barn. We will provide produce supplied by our local grocery stores.

Gardening

We have a lot of areas at the sanctuary that need weeding, clean up and general maintenance to help them look nice and fresh! Please bring your gloves and enjoy the animals as you work away!

Building Projects

We have all kinds of structures we’d love to have build for animal sleeping, eating, playing, plus we need lots of benches, stools and tables made out of our property’s timber. We love your time and building expertise to help us out! We have some tools available and you can build some of the play structures offsite if that’s better.
