FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Karen has been working on the vision for Heaven on Earth, without knowing it, her entire life. Formerly working in Seattle tech, she sold her company and built the sanctuary. She loves being in the presence of both animals and nature, and can be found sitting with a few of the 100 animals for hours, dreaming up what’s next for the sanctuary, the promotion of animal rights, and their wellbeing.

SANCTUARY DIRECTOR

Shelly grew up with horses and loves all creatures great and small. She is equally at home with a 2000 lb cow, as a small duck. Shelly ensures each of our animals get their food, shelter and love needs met every day. She keeps the supplies fully stocked and manages the never ending lists of jobs for staff and volunteers.

ANIMAL CARETAKER

Since early childhood, Tim has had a deep connection with all animals. He brings to the sanctuary years of work and volunteer experience from a variety of animal care facilities. On a daily basis, Tim can be found nurturing, scooping up after, and feeding our family of loving animals.

Kayla grew up a farm girl, and loves a tidy sanctuary and ensures every resident has clean fresh water, even the ones who choose the mud. Her giant smile persists, from poo patrol, sheep massages to stall mucking.
